A former employee of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has agreed to put on hold her lawsuit against Vince McMahon, the former chairman, at the request of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The government is currently conducting its own investigation into the matter.
The plaintiff, Janel Grant, filed suit in January in a federal court in Connecticut, accusing McMahon and another executive, John Laurinaitis, of sexual abuse during her tenure in WWE’s legal department. McMahon has vehemently denied the allegations. Following the lawsuit, he stepped down from his position as chairman of TKO Group Holdings Inc., WWE’s parent company.
