Celebrations are on as Vincent Dunn, the New York co-partner-in-charge at Norton Rose Fulbright, basks in the joy of seeing his daughter, Crystal Dunn, perform at her second FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament. The proud father shared his excitement and the stress that comes along with watching a family member play in a high stakes competition.
“Even though it’s her second go-around, you can’t take this stuff for granted. It’s an honor, of course, and I’ve been very fortunate to have experienced it.” Dunn expressed to the American Lawyer.
Crystal Dunn, the star in question, represents the U.S. Women’s National Team. The team is currently competing in the tournament hosted by New Zealand and Australia. Dunn says there’s a significant stress factor that comes with watching a family member perform at an elite sporting event like this, stating, “When you have a family member participating in high-level sport and you’re sitting in the stands and everything is at stake, there’s a stress element to it.”
Vincent Dunn had previously experienced this thrill and tension when he traveled to France to watch his daughter win the World Cup final in 2019. Crystal Dunn’s performance in the World Cup has once again given him the opportunity to cheer for his daughter as she showcases her talent on the global stage.
