Law firm Latham & Watkins, which established its Shanghai outfit nearly 20 years ago, is set to wind down operations in the city. Currently, ten lawyers are stationed in Shanghai under the leadership of corporate partner Rowland Cheng. Reports indicate that these legal professionals have been offered the chance to transfer to the firm’s Beijing office, which houses an additional five lawyers, including investigations and dispute resolution partner Hui Xu.
