As we move deeper into the latter half of 2023, several large law firms are cautiously planning a full return to office-based work. However, a number of West Coast firms, in particular, have identified the preference for hybrid work models among their staff and are embracing the change.
This new paradigm shift is not without its challenges. Firms that consist of individuals with differing work preference may find it difficult to foster crucial in-person interaction. Despite these operational hurdles, however, many firms are resisting the trend of imposing mandates to ensure employee satisfaction and productivity.
