Legal industry giant, Allen & Overy, recently announced an important addition to its US funds and asset management practice. Elaine Hughes, a seasoned legal professional with a wealth of experience in advising hedge funds, private equity funds, venture funds, credit funds, and funds of funds on operational needs, securities laws, and regulatory and compliance issues, has bunkered down with the team at the New York office. This addition to their roster was officially announced by the firm on Tuesday.
Hughes is not new to the world of investment management. Over the years, she has gained considerable experience that includes the representation of investment managers, funds, and investors on the formation, structuring, and operation of both U.S.-based and offshore investment vehicles, according to a statement from Allen & Overy.
Prior to her new role at Allen & Overy, Hughes was a legal stalwart at Lowenstein Sandler, a firm nationally recognized for its sophisticated transactional and litigation work.
