Reveal’s Post-Acquisition Layoffs Impact Employees Amid E-Discovery Industry Shake-up

Following the recent acquisitions of Logikcull and IPRO by global e-discovery firm Reveal, several employees have started receiving layoff notices. This development comes just a day after Reveal procured both Logikcull and IPRO in a double-play e-discovery acquisition deal estimated to be worth over $1 billion, as reported earlier.

The exact number of impacted employees was not provided by the Reveal spokesperson, but it was mentioned that a majority of the workforce from both Logikcull and IPRO would be retained. Indeed, some degree of layoffs weren’t unexpected. During the announcement of the acquisition Reveal, hinted at possible workforce reductions resulting from overlapping roles in the merging operations.

Please note that assertions about sweeping layoffs at IPRO have been flatly denied by Reveal. The spokesperson underlined that the majority employees from both Logikcull and IPRO are welcome to join Reveal. For those who are being laid off, Reveal is reportedly offering severance packages based on their tenure, along with various outplacement resources.

In a recent update, it was confirmed that the tally of laid-off employees stands at 79. This figure is lower than numbers mentioned in a WARN Act notice filed in Arizona, which Reveal has marked as a clerical error set to be corrected soon. As the situation continues to unfold, it underscores both the opportunities and challenges inherent in major corporate acquisitions.
