The non-profit organization oneNDA has collaborated with legal tech startup SimpleDocs to launch AutoNDA, a free software platform aiming to simplify non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Through the implementation of the standardized oneNDA format, this software is set to expedite the creation and management of NDAs.
Since its launch in 2021, oneNDA’s open-source NDA has been adopted by more than 1,000 companies around the world, including industry giants like Google, American Express, Novartis, and Panasonic. As of September 15, AutoNDA is free for anyone adopting the oneNDA standard.
Sign-ups for access to the software can be made through the SimpleDocs website. The software is part of a commitment to creating a comprehensive solution to streamline the entire NDA process according to Electra Japonas, the London-based creator of oneNDA and also the CEO and co-founder of The Law Boutique.
The standardization of NDAs was conceived to save time, money and effort associated with the negotiation of these contracts. Born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the oneNDA model has garnered global support and serves as an illustrative example of how streamlined legal proceedings could be in the digital age.
The oneNDA organization has expanded its scope to include specialized applications, including an NDA module for mergers and acquisitions matters, and oneDPA for standardizing data protection agreements, pointing to a broader potential for future applications.
