Litigation Boutique Grows Amid Surge in China-Related Disputes

In an increasingly challenging Chinese business landscape, the litigation boutique co-founded by ousted Hong Kong legislator, Dennis Kwok, is expanding its specialized practice. This move is aimed at providing conflict-free representation for organizations looking to reassess their regional operations. According to a report on Law.com, the white-collar defense firm, Elliott Kwok Levine & Jaroslaw, recently appointed Benjamin Qui as co-leader of its China practice.

Benjamin Qui, who was previously a partner at Loeb & Loeb’s corporate and capital markets department in its Beijing and Hong Kong offices, will now share leadership with Kwok. His deep experience with cross-border transactions in China is expected to be an asset to the firm. Pushing international firms to scrutinize their business operations in the region are increased regulations on both the Pacific sides.

It’s worth noting that Dennis Kwok served as a member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council from 2012 to 2020. The full details of the report can be found here.
