Three leading law schools that had previously been found out of compliance by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association (ABA) have now successfully rectified their cited issues and are back in compliance.
In March of this year, Baylor Law School and the University of Oregon School of Law were both cited by the ABA council for a lack of diversity among their part-time faculty. The ABA council accordingly urged the institutions to address this disparity to ensure compliance with ABA standards.
In addition, the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law came under the ABA council’s scrutiny for matters related to its finances. The specific financial issues which caused the law school its noncompliance status were not detailed.
However, all three of the law schools have now implemented the necessary changes to rectify the respective issues they were cited for by the ABA council, prompting their return to the association’s good graces. Further details can be found in the original report on Law.com.
