Paul Weiss Continues Poaching Spree, Secures 13th Kirkland & Ellis Partner in a Month

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison continues its scoop of legal professionals from rival firm Kirkland & Ellis, with the recent appointment of London debt finance partner Stefan Arnold-Soulby. This marks the 13th partner that Paul Weiss has hired from Kirkland in the course of a month.

Arnold-Soulby brings with him a rich history of representation for heavyweight private equity firms, with clients like Warburg Pincus, Investindustrial, Carlyle, Bain Capital, and Partners Group under his belt. His inclusion to the Paul Weiss team follows closely on the heels of Neel Sachdev and eight other London-based partners who made the switch from Kirkland, alongside four U.S. based partners.

This sizable talent migration, that had its beginnings in mid-August with Neel Sachdev and several others making the first move, symbolises a significant shift in the industry dynamics.
