It has been announced that Mark Smolik, Chief Legal Officer at DHL Supply Chain Americas, will serve as the Friday keynote speaker at the upcoming Knowledge Management & Innovation for Legal Conference in New York City on October 12 and 13.
Drawing on his professional intersection between law and corporate strategy, Smolik plans to share insights on how effective knowledge management and innovation can drive business growth. His keynote address, “Winning Strategies for Winning New Business: Insights on Innovation from a Chief Legal Officer,” promises to outline actionable steps that legal professionals can take to secure a competitive edge.
In addition to his keynote, Smolik will participate in a plenary session titled “Client-First Strategies: Using KM & Innovation for Business & Client Development.” He will be joined by Evan Shenkman, Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer at Fisher Phillips, and Anand Upadhye, Founder of Modern Legal Strategies.
The conference will also feature a Thursday keynote from Andrea Alliston, Partner, Knowledge Management, and Innovation Practice at Canadian law firm Fasken, speaking on leading through change, complexity, and disruption.
The two-day conference is organized by Patrick DiDomenico and Joshua Fireman, both noted leaders in legal knowledge management and innovation.
At this point, the agenda includes two keynote presentations, nine plenary sessions, and five breakout sessions offering deep dives into topics like process automation, AI implementation, and vendor relations. The event will also boast seven distinct networking hours, allowing attendees to connect and forge new professional relationships.
