This news underscores a developing trend as American-based law firms progressively establish their presence in both the U.K. and other European markets.
Following closely behind the renowned U.K. firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Paul Weiss had a hand in 23 deals within the last nine months. This marks an aggregate value of $84 billion, which constitutes 14.2% of the total market share for this year.
Furthermore, statistics from the rankings show that surprisingly, only three of the top 15 law firms handling European M&A for this year were originally established in Europe.
