Trump’s lawyers, displeased with Justice Arthur Engoron’s grant of partial summary judgment, have lodged an appeal. The judgement implicates Trump and his company in persistent fraud. Understandably, the Trump family would like the appeals court to overturn this ruling, which places their assets under receivership and dissolves their license to conduct business.
Meanwhile, Trump himself has moved to dismiss the criminal indictment that accuses him of fabricating business records to cover up the 2016 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
