The renowned legal blogging company LexBlog recently released “Lou”, an AI-powered publishing assistant designed to assist legal bloggers with the planning, refining, and promotion of their blog posts.
When the company first announced its intention to develop a generative AI integration, the general consensus was that it would likely be a simple conversational interface in the control panel for authors to interact with ChatGPT. However, LexBlog has surpassed these expectations with Lou.
Lou provides users with an intuitive, WordPress-based publishing platform that enables bloggers to seamlessly tap into the power of ChatGPT to enhance their writing. The AI assistant offers a menu of options from generating post ideas and headlines to providing article outlines. It’s important to note, however, that Lou is not designed to write posts for you, but rather to assist in the writing process.
In addition, Lou offers text refinement options such as re-styling the tone of your blog post to be ‘more professional’, ‘more concise’, ‘more understandable’, or to ‘expand upon’. The AI will suggest changes to your post, allowing you to accept or reject them. Lou can even generate alternative headlines for you to consider.
Once your post is complete, Lou assists with its promotion. From the ‘Share’ section, you can generate LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter posts, and you can personalize the tone and length to suit your audience. For a more personal touch, Lou also provides an option to share posts via personalized emails.
Lou is built through an integration with ChatGPT, implying that all functions provided by Lou could be possible through ChatGPT. What makes Lou valuable, however, is its simple and intuitive interface that wraps around the actions, making them easy to perform from directly within the writing platform. (LawNext)
