Google LLC has announced its strategy to offer extensive legal coverage to patrons of its generative AI solutions whose innovations face trials under copyright legislation. The move sees Google following the footsteps of other tech giants that have previously undertaken similar initiatives.
As per the recent update on the tech behemoth’s policies, the indemnity coverage now envelopes copyright claims originating from Google’s AI model’s training data and the output elicited from AI products. The official confirmation came via the company’s Thursday press release, which discussed the new as well as pre-existing protections.
The internet search pioneer has stated, “If you are challenged on copyright grounds, we will assume responsibility for the potential legal risks involved.”
