Quinn Emanuel Announces Special Fall Bonuses: Rewards for Hardworking Associates

Biglaw firm Quinn Emanuel has announced the welcome return of special fall bonuses for its associates. As been reported on Law.com, these bonuses start at a few thousand dollars for junior associates billing between 2000 and 2099 hours, and scale right up to $32,908 for senior associates logging over 2700 billable hours.

A detailed scale of the bonuses is available, delineating the amount based on billable hours and seniority. For instance, those who are of the Class of 2016 and more senior would receive a bonus starting at $16,251 for 2000-2099 hours, climbing up to the aforementioned $32,908 for 2700 and above hours.

However, for those billing fewer than 2000 hours, the bonuses will be proportionally reduced. It should be noted that such special bonuses aren’t a regular occurrence, either at Quinn Emanuel or at other law firms.

The decision to award these special bonuses has been described as “unusual” by Quinn Emanuel’s partner and firm founder John Quinn. He voiced his gratitude for the firm’s associates, commending their dedication, intelligence, and talent, and stating the desire to reward their hard work during a prosperous year for the firm.

Given the recent announcement by Quinn Emanuel, it will be interesting to anticipate whether other law firms will follow suit and match these special fall bonuses.
