Scott Joachim Appointed as Global Vice Chair of Private Equity at Paul Hastings

Paul Hastings has named Scott Joachim as the global vice chair of their private equity practice. Throughout his career, Joachim has been a representative of private equity firms, venture capital investors, and corporations within the technology sector, garnering him considerable recognition in the space. Joachim’s portfolio includes several defining M&A deals, such as Twitch Interactive’s sale to Amazon, General Motors’ acquisition of Cruise, and Responsys’ sale to Oracle, highlighting his strategic prowess in deal-making. His prior experiences include his tenure at Goodwin Proctor and founding the private equity (PE) and fintech practices at Fenwick & West. Alongside Joachim, Paul Hastings also welcomed on board Ryan LaForce and Kaitlin Kines, former Goodwin Proctor colleagues, and David Ambler, a former associate of Cooley LLP in Palo Alto, California, as a partner in capital markets.
