Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Linklaters, both renowned law firms, are set to add to their experience and capabilities in the domain of antitrust and competition law. Both firms have rung in the return of seasoned partners who previously served there.
Colin Raftery, a veteran competition specialist, is a returning partner at Freshfields. Raftery is rejoining the firm after gaining diverse experience at the Competition and Markets Authority for five years – serving as the senior director of mergers. Prior to this, Raftery had honed his expertise for two years as the director of mergers. As Raftery returns to Freshfields, he brings his well-rounded experience and insights to augment the firm’s antitrust practice.
Before making their return, both competition partners built considerable experience in in-house roles and rival firms. This collective pool of knowledge and points of view are expected to further enrich the legal services offered by Freshfields and Linklaters.
