The legal practice management platform Filevine has just launched an enhancement to its Lead Docket lead intake tool, a feature which utilises artificial intelligence to summarise the crucial details of incoming leads. Furthermore, this feature can also be used to predict which leads are the best matches for a law firm and which ones would be more appropriately referred elsewhere.
The new addition, known as LeadsAI, can parse all the data provided in a lead intake form. This information can range from lead details and message correspondence to notes. The quick and accurate summarisation of these details enables lawyers to understand the aspects crucial to the firm rapidly and effectively.
The function of LeadsAI goes beyond mere summarisation. It boasts various features such as:
- Lead Summarisation: This specific feature utilises AI to extract relevant data points from a lead, which in turn enables a firm to promptly review the primary details. For personal injury leads, for example, a summary might include information such as the incident, injury, contact information, pain points, as well as the current state of the case.
- Message Summarisation: LeadsAI is capable of using sentiment analysis to summarise the tone of communications between the intake professional and the potential client. According to Filevine, this allows firms to better understand engagement patterns and recognise opportunities to refine their outreach.
- Notes Summarisation: LeadsAI can generate consolidated timelines of all activities related to a lead, thereby saving firms from the time-consuming task of sorting through an array of different emails, calendars, and status reports.
In addition to these features, LeadsAI also includes a predictive analysis tool that can aid firms in evaluating potential cases to determine whether or not representation is recommended. Filevine claims that proprietary data is utilised to predict if a new lead or case should be signed, referred out, or rejected.
As of its launch, the tool is only trained on motor vehicle accident cases. However, Filevine has expressed the intent to expand the tool’s scope to be useful for law firms that handle a large number of cases in areas such as personal injury, mass tort or class action litigation.
The LeadsAI tool will be a paid feature add-on for Lead Docket customers, according to Filevine.
