Eversheds Sutherland and Addleshaw Goddard are currently advising on the acquisition of British lifestyle brand FatFace by U.K. high street retailer Next. The struggling Hampshire-based brand was purchased for a total of £115.2 million, making FatFace the most recent high-street chain to be acquired by Next after facing financial difficulties due to the pandemic.
Last year, Next also acquired furniture brand Made.com, a minority stake in baby goods store chain JoJo Maman Bebe, and most recently, Cath Kidston. FatFace is the fourth retailer to be taken on by FTSE 100 retail brand Next in its acquisition spree.
