The law practice management platform, Filevine, has incorporated a built-in feature to accept electronic payments from clients. Filevine introduces a new feature, termed Time Tracking, Billing, and Payments, which concludes its suite of time and billing abilities.
The recent addition, labelled Payments by Filevine, equips firms with the capacity to receive ACH, credit card, and debit card transactions. The functionality extends to tracking, automating, and customising the payment collection process.
Clients have the option to clear invoices via a link in the invoice itself, with the payment being applied directly to the client’s account and invoice statuses updated automatically. In line with an end-to-end billing cycle supporting varying types of fee agreements, Filevine’s new feature facilitates creation of time entries or fee items, their entry into the invoice and subsequent payment.
Further, Filevine announced a potential benefit for smaller firms. Firms with two or fewer employees will now have access to free user licenses on its basic platform provided they process an annual total of $500,000 in payments through Filevine Payments.
