Bloomberg Law, Dahiya came on board as a partner in Morrison & Foerster’s capital markets group, based in Washington, D.C.
Dahiya boasts a diverse professional background with extensive experience in securities and financial services regulation, and compliance of broker-dealers, clearing agencies, securities exchanges, and transfer agents. At Morrison Foerster, she will be leveraging her expertise to advise clients on compliance, regulatory, and transactional matters arising under the jurisdiction of both SEC and FINRA.
Val Dahiya’s tenure at the Securities Exchange Commission saw her serve in multiple key positions. Notably, she held the titles of branch chief of the division of trading and markets, senior counsel in the office of trading practices, and senior counsel in the office of compliance inspection and examinations. This wealth of experience at the SEC is expected to be a valuable asset to her new role with Morrison Foerster.
