Mourant Ozannes Expands Asian Presence with New Singapore Office Launch

Offshore law firm Mourant Ozannes is planning to open a new office in Singapore, following their hire of Craig Luton, a partner from Maples and Calder. This marks the firm’s second office in Asia, following the establishment of its Hong Kong branch over a decade ago.

Mourant Ozannes has successfully obtained all required approvals from the Singapore Legal Services Regulatory Authority to set up a foreign law practice in the city-state. A soft office opening is anticipated to take place in November, followed by an official launch scheduled for January.

The Singapore office will begin operations with an initial team composed of five staff members. This includes associates and paralegals, with Craig Luton serving as the first partner on the ground. The full details of the announcement can be read at Law.com International.
