Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed a new partner in its Dubai branch. The new officer, Nick Sharratt, now heads the firm’s Middle East dispute resolution practice. Sharratt, who has amassed over a decade of experience in the region, previously served at Stephenson Harwood. His scope of practice broadly encompasses litigation, international arbitration, asset recovery, and multi-jurisdictional enforcement. His diverse client base includes stakeholders from various industrial segments such as financial institutions, energy, infrastructure, construction, commodities, hospitality, and transport.
Mohammed Paracha, the head of Middle East at Norton Rose Fulbright, conveyed his delight at welcoming Sharratt to the firm and praised his wide-ranging industry experience. “Nick has impressive experience, across a wide range of key industry sectors, and will be an invaluable addition to our team and wider regional offering,” Paracha stated.

Law firms in the Middle East are increasingly focusing on dispute resolution and arbitration as areas of growth. Last month, Addleshaw Goddard and Morgan Lewis added disputes lawyers in Dubai, while DWF expanded its local team with new dispute resolution specialists. In March, Hage-Chahine, a Lebanese dispute resolution firm, associated with UAE law firm Habib Al Mulla & Partners.
