Multinational bank Standard Chartered has named a new general counsel for its European and Americas regions. The incoming GC, Samallie Kiyingi, is stepping in from the Africa Export-Import Bank. Kiyingi will be based in Singapore and also take on the role of regional head for Europe and Americas.
Kiyingi’s appointment was announced via a LinkedIn post by the current group general counsel, Sandie Okoro. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Kiyingi had an impressive career, being recognized as the General Counsel of the Year at the 2022 African Legal Awards.
