Former Chief of the Organized Crime Section for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY), Jennifer (Sasso) Schubert, has recently taken her expertise to a trial boutique. Prior to leaving her position at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, Schubert had been searching for her next career step. Her journey led her on a trip down memory lane when she chanced upon an email dating back to 2009 from a certain firm. The content of this particular email remains a mystery yet its existence was noteworthy enough for Schubert.
The Law.com article announcing her move highlighted her reputation for case-building, as commended by MoloLamken cofounder Steven Molo. He said, “Jennifer knows how to build a winning case.”
White-collar and cross-border matters are expected to be Schubert’s new focus areas, proving to be a strategic move for the trial boutique in securing her vast experience and expertise in handling organized crime. This shift aligns with the increasing attention toward white-collar crime in the legal industry, especially amongst multinational corporations and international law firms.
