GoodRx Facing $13 Million Settlement in User Data Privacy Violation Case

A proposed settlement involving GoodRx Holdings Inc. could potentially award up to $4.5 million in legal fees to Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman. The law firm has been involved in a putative class action alleging that GoodRx improperly shared user data with social media platforms, in a case that’s currently being overseen by Federal Judge Beth Bloom at the United States District Court for the Southern District in Miami.

Upon preliminary approval, the proposed settlement amounts to a total of $13 million. As one attorney, Ian M. Ross, highlighted, high-volume individual arbitration demands have become a common trend in defending against allegations that involve website or app privacy violations. Alongside GoodRx, other companies have also been dealing with similar demands.
