Chemical industry leader Celanese Corp., facing softer global demand, recently made changes to its executive roster. Anne Lynne Puckett, serving as the senior vice president and general counsel for the past five years, has been replaced in a management shakeup.
Based in Irving, Texas, and boasting $9.7 billion in revenue along with 13,000 employees, Celanese Corp. announced the appointment of Ashley Duffie, the former vice president and chief procurement officer, as Puckett’s successor. The move comes with hopes of driving stronger performance amid the company’s slower sales.
Note that Puckett’s departure coincides with the retirement of the corporation’s CEO, who had hired her. It remains uncertain whether these changes point to a new strategic direction for Celanese Corp.
