EEOC Commissioner Kotagal Champions Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) newest commissioner, Kalpana Kotagal, has indicated her eagerness to work alongside her two Democratic associates to furnish further guidance and champion diversity and inclusion initiatives in US workplaces. The Democratic Commissioner shared her intentions during a press event that took place this Tuesday.

Kotagal has voiced her plans to openly support lawful diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) practices in the workplace. This comes at a time when DEI programs and lawsuits challenging them are on the rise, subsequent to the US Supreme Court’s decision in the case of Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard issued earlier this year.

Kotagal, who officially took office in the early part of August, is committed to working with her team to uphold lawful DEIA practices and combat workplace discrimination, emphasizing that these issues are of utmost importance to the EEOC.
