Nixon Peabody Chief Defends Firm’s Work for Trump Amid Controversy

In a recent company-wide meeting, Steve Zubiago, Chief at Nixon Peabody, defended his firm’s work for former President Donald Trump. A Nixon Peabody attorney made a recent court appearance on behalf of Trump in a Massachusetts lawsuit, the objective of which was to block Trump from featuring on the 2024 presidential election ballots. In a related legal landscape survey, less than a quarter (23%) of senior in-house lawyers admitted to directly requesting a law firm to assign a woman or a racially diverse attorney to a litigation or arbitration matter. This interesting finding comes from a poll conducted by Burford Capital and Ari Kaplan Advisors which involved 66 legal chiefs, heads of litigation, and other senior attorneys.
