Norton Rose Reinvigorates Asia Arbitration Practice with Addition of Kent Philips

Norton Rose Fulbright has revitalized its international arbitration practice in Asia with the addition Of Kent Philips, who recently worked as a partner at Hogan Lovells. Law.com reports about this latest development.

Philips, who has nearly 25 years of experience in the legal profession, has conducted arbitrations under institutional rules across major legal seats under both civil and common applicable laws. He joins Norton Rose as a partner. In his former role, he regularly provided advice to clients on commercial disputes relating to infrastructure, natural resources, and energy sectors primarily in Southeast Asia.

Earlier this year, Norton Rose bid farewell to Andrew Battisson, its Singapore international arbitration partner, who moved to Linklaters, marking a significant change in the firm’s arbitration practice. This recent hire in their Singapore office is an attempt to reenergize the practice in the region.
