Indiana Bar Exam May Soon Include Concord Law School’s Online Students

Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, a California-based law school not accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), is on the verge of obtaining approval from the Indiana Supreme Court for their students to sit for the Indiana bar exam. The California law school is one of the pioneers in offering a completely online J.D., moving away from the traditional concept of a fixed-facility, brick-and-mortar law school. This digital approach is one of the main reasons it is not eligible for ABA accreditation. Martin Pritikin, dean of Purdue Global Law, expressed optimism about the developments, saying that the Indiana Supreme Court has drafted their own proposed rule amendment which carries broader implications than anticipated.
