Renowned legal firm Seyfarth Shaw has added Saadia Ghazi to its ranks. Ghazi, an accomplished attorney known for her work with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, will join Seyfarth Shaw’s realm of real estate — in particular, the servicing and special servicing practice — as a partner in New York. The news was officially announced by the firm on Wednesday.
At Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Ghazi honed her skills in securitization, commercial real estate finance, and diverse corporate matters, providing her expertise to issuers, underwriters, mortgage loan sellers, master servicers, special servicers, and B-piece buyers alike in securitization-focused transactions.
Her well-rounded experience also extends to general corporate affairs. Ghazi has previously represented multitudes of companies in corporate transactions. Her portfolio includes mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. She also has a grasp of corporate governance and is adept in cases involving shareholder activism and defense.
Ghazi’s recruitment is poised to strengthen Seyfarth Shaw’s already robust special servicing practice. Her broad exposure to both securitization and corporate matters will surely serve the team well.
