Additional details regarding the memorial services for Monica Bay, the longstanding editor-in-chief for Law Technology News, have been released. The services are slated to occur in two separate locations; one in San Mateo, California on November 30, and another in New York City on December 7. These arrangements have been disclosed by Sean La Roque-Doherty, a close friend and former colleague of Bay at ALM where he served as the technology editor. Detailed information can be found here.
The tribute slated to take place in New York is designed to reflect Monica Bay’s affinities; encompassing both her work and personal life. Since Bay was fondly known as a ‘Hilton Girl’, the proceedings will be held at the Hilton Midtown (1335 Ave of the Americas), Lincoln Room, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on December 7, 2023. A running picture log showcasing Monica with her family and friends will be showcased during the reception, with a microphone on standby for attendees wishing to share their fond memories.
Drinks including beer, wine, and sparkling water, along with appetizers will be served throughout the duration of the event at the Hilton. To plan for the catering at the reception, Sean La Roque-Doherty kindly requests that attendees RSVP via email at Sean@laroque-doherty.com. Furthermore, he’s also open to receiving any pictures of Monica that attendees might wish to share during the memorial.
The West Coast memorial for Monica Bay is slated to take place on November 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2000 Bridgepointe Circle. For the convenience of the attendees, a lunch buffet will be provided during the event.
