Earlier this month, one of the most prominent litigation firms in the United States, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, sealed a deal signing a 15-year lease to occupy 132,000 square feet at 295 Fifth Ave in Manhattan, one of the city’s iconic business addresses. The firm’s New York leaders have reportedly set plans in motion aiming to ensure all 300 lawyers make a smooth transition to this new location by the beginning of 2025, following the completion of the space’s renovation.
The move marks a significant development for the firm, which, not long ago in 2021, unveiled a flexible working policy allowing all U.S. lawyers within the firm to work remotely on a permanent basis. This progressive work from anywhere policy, which got rid of the conventional office-based model, was implemented nearly two years before the latest office move, adding a fresh perspective to the intersection of law practice and remote work.
