As the year comes to an end, many top-tier law firms are finalizing their bonus structures. For several associates at the Am Law 200 firm Boies Schiller Flexner, this means an impressive year-end bonus of $300,000 or more. These extraordinary figures, learnt through an internal email from the firm’s management, leave most of their colleagues at other Big Law firms behind, as they generally keep their scales largely unaltered.
In addition to those receiving these considerable bonuses, a number of junior staff at Boies Schiller Flexner have reportedly exceeded the $100,000 mark. This is attributed to the firm’s formula compensation system which rewards associates not only for their technical expertise but also for bringing new clients on board and contributing to contingency cases.
