Spanish legal powerhouses, Cuatrecasas and ECIJA, have recently enriched their Latin America teams, marking the region as a substantial revenue generator for both firms. With the aim of bolstering their respective positions, the two accomplished firms have recruited several experienced individuals equipped with extensive regional expertise.
Cuatrecasas, for instance, has enlisted the services of Michel Diban, a highly-regarded M&A specialist who has spent his entire profession at the highly respected Chilean corporate firm, Morales & Besa in Santiago de Chile. The firm has also recruited Jaime Vargas, formerly the leader of tax markets for northern Latin America at EY, based in Bogotá.
Similarly, ECIJA has employed a labor and employment partner, who is set to spearhead that division in Mexico City. These calculated moves are part of a broader strategy to tap into the rapidly-growing commercial and legal markets in the Latin American region.
