Maurice Thompson and Team Depart Clyde & Co for Holman Fenwick Willan in Australia

Continuing a recent trend of departures, Clyde & Co’s head of energy, maritime and natural resources in Australia, Maurice Thompson, is set to leave the firm for Holman Fenwick Willan along with most of his team. This move marks one of a series of high-profile partner departures from Clyde & Co.

Maurice Thompson, who also holds leadership roles in the firm’s Australian aviation group and global drones group, will be joining HFW with seven of his eight-member team, according to insiders. The firm has seen a number of its teams leaving recently, including the current managing partner and insurance head, as well as a former managing partner, taking with them teams of lawyers and staff.

This marks the third time in just five weeks that a team from Clyde & Co’s Australian practice has made the decision to move on.
