Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who passed away this December 1 at the age of 93, will lie in repose in the Supreme Court’s Great Hall on Dec. 18 before her funeral service the following day. The Supreme Court confirmed this schedule in a statement made on Tuesday. On the day of the repose, a private, invitation-only service will be held at the court at 9:30 a.m. Following this, the public will be permitted to pay their respects to O’Connor from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The following day, O’Connor’s invitation-only funeral service will take place at the National Cathedral.
