Ever since Biglaw began increasing salaries and awarding bonuses to associates, support staff working in law firms have raised questions over their raise prospects. After all, running large law firms requires an ‘army’ of support staff, who contribute significantly behind the scenes and thus equally deserve their due.
So, which law firms are truly spreading the wealth among their support staff? This question appeared prominently after a flurry of emails emerged from law firm support staff. However, the answer may not be as straightforward as it seems.
Providing information on wage increases and bonuses offered to staff members, or even measures to show that support staff truly matter, is not a standard practice among law firms. Yet, this does not mean that these firms do not appreciate the hard work and dedication their staff put in.
