Annual Holiday Card Contest Returns: Legal Community Showcases Creativity for the 15th Year

It’s that special time of year again, Biglaw bonuses and raises are about to kick start the holiday season, but there’s something even more exciting in the air – ‘Above The Law’s fifteenth annual holiday card contest. Many eager participants have already been asking when this year’s competition would commence, and we’re happy to announce that it starts today. For more detail on this, you can take a read through the competition’s announcement here.

As an online legal website, there are naturally some rules to follow for the contest:

  1. Because of the environment-friendly practices at Breaking Media, only E-CARDS are allowed. Participants are requested not to send paper holiday cards via traditional mail this year.

  2. To submit an e-card, either email a link to the card or send the card itself as an attachment. However, note that the preference is given to links, wherever available. All submissions should be sent to tips@abovethelaw.com, and the subject line should be “Holiday Card Contest”.

  3. Please limit submissions to holiday / Christmas cards that you deem as worthy contenders. The cards that are unusually clever, funny, or cool stand a better chance. Safe or boring cards are not encouraged.

  4. Include a brief explanation about why your card is compelling in your email. This explanation might be quoted if your submission makes it to the finals. If anonymity is desired, ensure to make that clear.

  5. The entry deadline is three weeks from today, specifically, Friday, December 8, at 11:59 p.m. (New York time). No exceptions would be entertained.

We look forward to your submissions and wish you a happy holidays!
