Professional services giant EY is set to close its legal practice in Hong Kong, LC Lawyers, in January 2024. The firm currently employs four lawyers but has announced that none of them will remain within the EY network after the closure.
This development is a setback for EY’s legal network which operates in more than 80 countries globally. It is unclear at this stage why the decision to close the Hong Kong practice was made and what the implications could be for EY’s wider legal services offering.
