Foley & Lardner, the well-established law firm, has expanded its fund formation and investment management practice. The firm has officially announced that Gustavo Resendiz has joined as a partner based in Boston. Announcing the news, the firm revealed that Resendiz’s experience extends beyond fund formation – he has substantial experience with domestic and international private investment funds, particularly in the arena of private equity, growth equity, venture capital, and funds-of-funds.
Resendiz is not new to the Foley & Lardner team; he had previously served at Foley in 2016, before moving on to Choate Hall & Stewart. In his new role at Foley & Lardner, he will manage fund sponsors, providing key counsel on the process of fund formation.
Resendiz’s arrival isn’t the only expansion for Foley & Lardner’s practice. Alongside him, Robert Linnoila will come on board as senior associate.
This development reflects a growth trend among law firms, with an increasing number seeking to add depth and breadth to their practice areas, particularly in the complex and lucrative field of fund formation and investment management.
