Dru Armstrong was appointed CEO of AffiniPay, the parent company of LawPay, in July 2021. Not long afterwards, AffiniPay made significant moves in the legal tech space by acquiring MyCase, one of the top platforms in law practice management.
The deal further included four other practice management tools: CASEPeer for personal injury firms, Docketwise for immigration practices, Soluno for billing and accounting, which it subsequently sold off, and Woodpecker for document automation.
Prior to this, LawPay held a unique position in the legal tech world, comparable to that of Switzerland, with its platform seamlessly integrating with virtually every other practice management tool available. However, the acquisition of a major player like MyCase has seemingly disrupted this neutrality.
Now, two and a half years into her role as CEO of AffiniPay, Armstrong was recently a guest speaker on an episode of LawNext.
