Jenny Hill Bratt and Matthew Owens have been appointed as partners at the San Diego, California office of Sheppard Mullin, as per the firm’s announcement on Tuesday.
Bratt has joined the tax practice group and estate planning and wealth transfer team. She will concentrate on areas like US and international estate and income tax planning, administration of trusts and estates, planning for family and closely held businesses, and charitable planning along with exempt organizations. This addition is sure to enhance the broad capabilities of Sheppard Mullin.
Matthew Owens, on the other hand, has entered the business trial practice group, now forming part of the private wealth and fiduciary litigation team. He primarily works on trust, estate, and inheritance disputes in probate court, which will significantly supplement Sheppard Mullin’s litigation capacity.
The duo is joining from Withersworldwide. Along with them, special counsel Allison Whitmore Hirsh and associates Mariah Lohse, Nicole M. Paschoal, and Austin Prewitt are also making the transition to Sheppard Mullin.
