In an annual tradition, it’s time to spotlight the innovative and creative holiday cards created by legal firms worldwide. However, this year, Above the Law (ATL) has narrowed the participants down to seven standout finalists for their fifteenth annual holiday card contest.
The honorable mentions went to Armond Wilson, Diaz Trade Law, and Patterson Belknap; the latter making donations to both NYC’s Coalition for the Homeless and Children’s Aid this holiday season.
The talented seven finalists, listed alphabetically, have truly outdone themselves:

These seven finalists are spread across a wide range of concepts and styles. Butler Snow humorously depicts what happens when 400+ lawyers try to agree on a holiday message, Davis Wright Tremaine showcases its talented in-house videography team with stunning Alaskan landscapes, while Larson King uses an AI-driven narrative of a winter trip in Minnesota. Faegre Drinker goes with a tech theme, focusing on AI, and Rakover Law incorporates celebrity Cameo appearances in their card.
Particularly novel is the card by Falcon Rappaport & Berkman, offering a first for the ATL contest: the firm’s holiday card is an NFT, representing the firm’s commitment to its clients in the blockchain industry. Another highlight is the McBrayer card, featuring a variety of New Year’s resolutions from its attorneys, promising everything from aspiring to join NBA to more industry-relevant commitments.
