And this year, we commemorate those who have walked the path exceptionally in our 2023 edition of Pro Bono Innovators.

In one of our first joint awards, we honor Davis Wright Tremaine and Microsoft Corp. for their ProJourn program, a network of law firms and corporate legal departments across six states providing free legal service to independent journalists. Through innovative collaborations like these, pro bono work is being structured and delivered in new ways for far-reaching impacts.
Morgan Lewis secured the citizenship rights for thousands of non-citizen US Army soldiers and veterans, based on their military service. Their legal fight unraveled in the form of class actions which ultimately led to a monumental victory in September 2022.
