UVA Law Appoints Leslie Kendrick as 13th Dean, Upholding Tradition of Excellence

University of Virginia School of Law (UVA Law) has appointed Leslie Kendrick as its 13th Dean, effective from July 1. With a two-decade long attachment to the Law School, Kendrick’s belief in UVA Law’s “world-class research, consummate professional preparation and deep sense of community” solidifies her conviction that it is the best law school in the country.

Leslie Kendrick will succeed the Arnold H. Leon Professor of Law and a Professor of History at UVA, Risa Goluboff. Goluboff, who had announced her decision to step down in September last year, was also UVA Law’s first female Dean. She served as Dean for eight years, leaving an indelible impact on the institution.

The UVA Law fraternity is keenly looking forward to Kendrick’s leadership, expecting her to uphold the institution’s tradition of academic and professional excellence.
