In their quest to serve the entire legal community, ALM Media has introduced new components to their annual Professional Excellence Awards. The aim is to shine a light on the impressive work and triumphs across the comprehensive spectrum of legal communities that their publications cater to.
They have categories in designated regions and are also recognizing Litigation Departments of the Year in those regions for mid-sized firms. For larger firms, specifically those with more than 200 attorneys, they’ve launched the new regional Litigation Departments of the Year category from The American Lawyer. These new categories cater to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Connecticut.
The awards, however, are limited to US editorial awards for ALM’s legal publications and exclude research surveys, regulated markets publications, business-side awards, or international accolades. For research surveys, interested parties can register here for notifications.
In their Trailblazers series, they’ve initiated the Watchlist and any relevant queries can be directed to Maria Stojanovic. For International ALM awards, one can visit the ALM Events page and select the “Awards Events” for a comprehensive list.
Nomination dates for U.S. awards will be updated periodically. Any questions regarding contests can be directed to Recognition Desk Manager, Pearl Wu. Interested parties can also signup for ALM’s U.S. Editorial Awards marketing notifications or Pearl’s update emails about US Contests.
Among the upcoming awards in 2024 are the Florida Legal Awards, Pennsylvania Legal Awards, and South Eastern Legal Awards. The later accepts nominations from firms, companies, and organizations not just in Georgia, but in North and South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee as well.
