This activity in the Texas legal market testifies to its attractiveness and strong performance. Around half of the Am Law 200, an annual ranking of 200 law firms in the United States, can now boast of a presence in Texas. This figure, however, is gradually swelling as new law firms continue to enter the market.
Besides this entry of new firms, 2023 also witnessed a noteworthy change within the leadership structures of several existing firms within Texas. A considerable number of these entities have been installing newer, often younger partners in their top-level roles, as per the same report.
